Here goes for me. It looks like you have both there now, long curtain and a valance, I would focus on one only when I walk in and see which window makes the warmest look, I'm all for a warm feeling when I enter a house:) so with out being able to see well what kind of fabric is there, I'll stop with that. I also know you are a good decorator MJ what you end up with usually looks very lovely! Twila

Sorry, but I'm the last person you'd want curtain-advice from. : ) I have no decorating bones in my body.
My advice is to skip the curtains. I've lived in this house a year and a half now without any and am none the worse for it.
Sorry, MJ, I'm not a big fan of curtains in the first place but one of the main reasons I don't have any is because I don't know what to buy either.
