Hi..I bet you readers have some wisdom.

I need some..Yet, it seems abit nerve racking.

My Landlord was hoping the new tenants would work out..I too was hoping the same. They had just moved in the middle of August. A couple and possibly one child.

The other day, As i was coming home i can smell smoke, i believe it was some kind of pot.

It also made me wonder what else might be going on up there.

I can smell smoke in my apt and it really bugs me.

I don't like it!

This building policy is that their should be NO Smoking, No Pets!!

However...the tenants are abiding by the rule.

If i say something, Would i be getting myself into some serious trouble..tattle tail and have him bang on my door.

Being alone doesn't help:(

What should i do????

God Be with you till we meet again!

This past summer was soo sweet! I loved the fellowship of friends &

family.

Even though it was painful to say bye, I'd do it all over again!!

God has truly has blessed me, Bringing many of his people into my life:)

I sit here today think in of saying good-bye to another friend. As she heads out for University:)

God remind me this morning he will carry me..Summer was warm, Full of many happy memories as I sensed so much love. Now the dread of coldness that's right around the corner.

I know their will be a day when their will be no more good byes, No more tears.

Till then, i was reminded by someone this morning..We have work to do, Bring people to Jesus!

This week, i've been trying to adjust to being back from Indiana..Pray for me if you think about me!

I have no children to brag about, I hope you readers don't mind reading about me.

My little Kyra, Such Love & Treasure she Brings.

It's good to be back with her, I almost don't like being gone from her.

This Sunday was about 2 weeks since i last seen her..She sat with me in church, I think she knew i was gone..cause she leaned her head against my chest, I can tell she was giving some affection..I think she missed me But maybe no as much as i missed her. My joy! Thank You Jesus for Kyra!

I have to post pictures of my summer..Although alot of it on fb.

So, maybe i won't really need too.

This week, I have alot of baking too do. For Rosedale, Akawchink thingy.

My Bosch came at a good time:)

Advice..Looking to buy some fabric for curtains or valences?
The windows aren't big and soo all the light i can get are great. Only 2 window in the living room.

My question is..Would long curtains on each side of the windows with fabric hanging onto the floor. Be too Much fabric? Or just Valences be enough?
I also wondered since my couches have olive color in it..that that's what i should go with.
The Dark cabinet and book shelf being espresso color..Would that bring too much brown.

The shiny gold color just doesn't go anymore?

I also have an out side door with a small window.

I really need comments now.

Today..A cold decided to come visit. I was expecting it too come sometime, Only because i had my flu already then couple cold sores also.
I suppose it will just need to take its course like everyone Else's.

This morning though i had energy to do my dishes and tidy up in my living room.
Took a Benelyn/nap and woke up feeling bit better.
Made some supper and moved a cabinet into another part of the living room.
That took more work then i thought:(
It's done and now, I have a messy living room that needs some tiding up..hahaha
Women's work is never done..even if your single.

Yesterday i was really missing my friends and family. I figure missing everyone is a good thing..shows me i am blessed:)
Yay ME!!

Im Really Grateful for my church family here.
I have grown to love them all, I have learned soo much!
Also..back to the earth, I realize i have a long ways to go yet.
The truth of this matter is that God be Glorified.
Some days things happen that i wish would have turned out different.
Yesterday was one of those days:(
I Really like that God doesn't just give up on me. Bev a Godly Women i look up too I hope to be just like her.
We both have had our misunderstandings..But, I can honestly say, I admire her love for god,
She brings Jesus many times over and over. I suppose that's what touches me the most.

I would appreciate your prayers. I long to please God more then anything!

Advance will be at Dorian Bible Camp..Just one hour out side of Thunder Bay July 11-14.
So i figure sometime in there i will come home for a week of a visit.
So we should plan a few parties eh??
The Norseman Festival is around that time too..eh?
It makes me EXCITED!!!

I have a craft I'm working on...I'll try to post it in the next couple days:)

Blessed we were this morning:)

Joy full were the 4 toddlers & 2 babies.
All clapping during worship,
1 young boy about 11 sat in the front right side clapping. He apparently was staying with the Swartzentrubers for A night 0r 2.
The 2 little girls are twins, One was reading a Cree, other English and the little boy was quite interested in the tambourine.
Babies all smiled while clapping and making movements with their little bodies.

After Service we had our monthly potluck.
My contribution was....
Lasagna and Butter cake, With strawberry & Cool whip for dessert.
Jason our worship leader asked me how i made such soft cake..I told him i had soft hands. I don't think he fell for that one:)
Food was of course very good.
I even got a dish i ordered from friends from church:)

Tomorrow I'm having Gord & Bev for supper.
Having Chicken that Kevin & Linda raised.
Corn from their garden
and probably roasted potato's, salad.
Raspberry Velvet Cake, cream cheese icing. Yummmy!!
Its Bev late birthday dinner.

Bev was over last night.
With a nice foam for my mattress..Slept like a baby,
We had a nice visit, then we found ourselves at DQ : )

Just received a text from a friend saying her son in his 20's is wanting to make things right with God.
This Young man was living together with his girlfriend for awhile...Then this past fall they got married, He told his mother he couldn't live like that anymore.

Another similar story..Only this couple were not living together. This young lady is a christian, Her boyfriend wasn't.
But this past week..God was moving in him..He found himself restored with his Heavenly Father.

I wanna raise my hands and say..Praise Jesus!!

Heavens Watching Over us..I have goose bumps.

My Little sister just became a granny couple nights ago.
I got too see pictures last night..Of course i couldn't help myself but CRY!

This week was soo nice.
Today, I had the urge to wear a skirt.
With flip flops..But it wasn't that warm..Although i did see someone with flip flops today:)
Someone said were supposed to get a bunch of rain:( Least the snow will melt more:)

Kyras mommy asked if i wanted to go to Value Village..Usually id watch Kyra soo her mommy can do some shopping. We spent most of the time going through toys.

I stopped in at the Pregnancy Care today..But, Only to drop something off.
Lori and i use to work together there on Wednesday's , but she switched her days and so i don't see much of her anymore.
She then invited me over to her house this afternoon for some coffee..Enjoyed the visit:)

Im thinking of baking some raspberry velvet cake. That's what i had for my birthday! Soo Yummy:)

God is teaching me some stuff..He does it all too well.
I can't imagine living life without the Wisdom of Our Creator.
Many times, i try to think i know whats best, Then its those times i find that i limit him.
Just, shows how much i am in need of him.

A Saturday at home.

Cooked up sauce for a lasagna and shepherds pie for supper.

Walked to the store for cocoa in PJ's. Had good intentions of baking a raspberry velvet cake, No go:(

Plants watered. 2 plants are dying:(

Helping my brother with a minor problem.

Started a family tree..that's gonna take more time then i thought:(

My feelings Today.

Happy i got to spend the day at home.

Felt sad for all my relatives that have died.(because of the family tree i started)

Disappointed in a niece and nephew for something. But happy they were innocent.

Realized I'm on for church cleaning in April. Excited:)

Glad for clean cupboards..YAY!!

This Past weekend i went to Toronto, with a friend.
My University friend Kari has been asking me for sometime to..Come visit:)
So i did, Shes really nice I was glad to see her.
Her apartment is soo nice.
I did some window shopping..i did :)
The mall was crazy..Almost like Christmas time.
I was also shocked to see how many immigrant's there were.
Kari said Toronto has 50% immigrants and the half were Canadians.
It was interesting.

Kari drove us downtown where the night life of darkness happens.
Shaking my head.
During this time we were out for some desserts. Lots of choices:)
I wanna make raspberry velvet cake sometime. But i need a good occasion..i suppose i can make one up.
I was glad to get home..Home Sweet Home!
When i think of going away..I want a relaxing travel..that's my Thought:)

I was soo happy to have Kyra last week.
She hadn't been here for sometime..i even had to remind where her candy jar was. LOL
And she was just a happy girl..Aww I love her soo much!

Oh the weekend before Toronto.
Their was a Hockey Tournament here.
It was fun..I think i kinda understand more what the rules are now.
Lazy Canadian..hasn't tried hard enough to know hockey.
Their so much politics involved too.
Anyway, i cheered for James Yutzy one time.
I never thought i would cheer for Red Lake.Right here in Sudbury!
What a good player he is!!

Mike and Helen brought some moose meat..Nice
Kevin Linda sent some canned goods, Yummy Corn and their Chicken:)

I got a knock on my door yesterday.
Kari parents dropped of some real yummy moose ribs.
So..Guess what im eating today?

I was think in i need to get my taxes done this week.
And maybe invite some company over.

All about me!!

Weekend was too relaxing.
I spent couple nights with a friend in chemmy. about 1/2 hr out of sudz.( Chelmsford )
She and i watched movies, shopped, talked and went out to a restaurant called Signatures.
I liked the decor : ) Oh and the wings, salad/garlic bread were Yummy too : )
I was glad to have my own bed again when i got home. I've never slept on a king size bed before.
She (T )doesn't even sleep with her husband..he snores too LOUD!!

So, that was my weekend.

Today was really quiet ; )
This morning i made some breaded chicken & Chocolate cake for pot-luck :)
We had Good Food. Ans Good Fellowship.

This week will be abit busy.
I really dread grocery shopping.
Wanna do some cooking and maybe have one of the Swartzentruber girls over one day.If shes up too a craft.
But the usual i'll go to pregnancy care , b-study and and maybe do coffee with a friend.

This coming weekend is the Little NHL in Sudbury. Which means a Native hockey tournament,
I may go to a few games and check out the booths,
Mike and Helen are coming James is playing.
I will most likely have them over sometime for a meal or two,
Looking forward to having them.
YAY!!

I want to maybe make some cinn buns too this week. Maybe for bible study, Last night i made cookies for a friend. She gives snacks to her students once in a while.

Friday Night : )
Bored and Soo longing for my funny cousins. They made me homesick this evening!

This week felt abit slow...Although, I was in touch with people through out the week.
A lady I know from Pregnancy care is going to teen challenge on Monday.
The other week as i walked into the centre..Her first question when she saw me was..
Will you adopted my 4 year old daughter?
Abit frazzled..But, then i began asking more questions. D no longer has her 4 year..because, Alcohol has taken over her life and now C.A.S has her baby.
So when she leaves Monday..for a year. When her program is done that year, Her baby will be gone.
She was hoping if she took this program she might have a better chance of getting her back.
In this case, she has no chance...I even asked if i could do Foster Care, that too was a no.
So, for now we are praying for D.
She desires a life of Freedom..and also to know God Better.
Sometimes she looks at our lives and thinks we have it easy.
A few Weeks ago she asked me...How did you know Sudbury would work out for you?
I just said..I didn't.. All i know was that..God was leading me and that it was up to me to be obedient.
In all this..i think she's wondering if teen challenge is the way to go.
Her life has hit Rock bottom. Good thing for HOPE!!

I also want to post a few pictures.
My friend Tracey gave me a gift card for my birthday. So i bought some candle thingys for the wall.
They were black candle holder's decor.
I bought rust paint..chocolate brown.
I also had a wall mirror that was almost gold..so i painted the 2 items brown.
Then i got a piece of wood painted that espresso color..painted some string, made a loop, for the piece of wood. and nailed the string against the wall above the couch.
I added picture frames..that i painted before for decor. I also found a jug from Value village
I was happy : )
I am now painting couple shelves. espresso color I will post those pictures tomorrow.

Then my next project after all this is to get some curtains..I may have to make em ..Cheaper way.

This past week was rather one very trying time.

Saying..Lord..I commit my family to you. Then laying in bed all night worrying if my loved ones would be alright.

I sure am joyfully happy and relieved God Protected them.

My niece's 9 and 15 years old called the night before then "I love you" was mentioned...That really made me wonder if i will ever see them again.

It wore my body out, Mentally was also the worst.

I can say...being far from family was very hard.

Australia is soo far away and alot of flooding and storms are hitting the very places my nieces are.

I am thankful they are fine..But it sure shook my family.

Now i can see how life can be when a person continues to worry.

Being able to think of life around one self..is very tough.

God several times has reminded us in scripture.not too worry!

Why is wanting control so hard to let go?

I cried and even played the blame game too.

Yet, i knew that wasn't the answer.

Pointing fingers was easy to do. But a matter of releasing..I confess was tough.

I love my family! I wish i could be the strong one and admit i have it all together.

I just need your prayers.

This past weekend was good. What i liked was the Raspberry Velvet Cake the Best!

I have to admit store bought things aren't soo bad at after all: )

Friday was phone call day. As i picked up the phone...My niece says Happy Birthday Auntie....i wasn't sure what to say except happy birthday back..we laughed: )

Good Friends that are like family to me are Gord & Bev (Kyras grand parents )Jordana and Ryan...Kyra's mommy and uncle is where i had my birthday supper, She makes the best spaghetti ever.

And She knows i love her spaghetti..soo that's what she made.

She also had chocolate cake with icing toffee bits/pecans and Carmel sauce on it..Rich!!

Bev gave me this nice wooden salad bowl. My first words were YUM!! I don't know why i responded that way..but maybe because it looked just NICE!

And a friend gave me a nice selection of picture frames..lol

I suppose i can still work at painting and finishing the frames i got started.

She also gave a nice cosmetic bag etc.

Another friend gave money to buy a shovel..Cause i don't have one.

Yesterday..is when the Raspberry Velvet Cake made is appearance along with some friends.

It was soo good! Way a Great way to start a new week,

Yesterday, I watched a sick little girl. She was grouchy when she first arrived.

Kyra asked for lollipops and gum.

She took a few licks of the lollipops, Opened gum holding it for awhile then decided i should have it. So..I knew, She wasn't herself: (

I felt soo sad she was sick..Gave her some Tylenol and that seemed to perk her up.

Then again it hit her again and fell asleep.

Phone rang..she moved around awhile and got whinny. Reason was babycakes was having a fever. Aww i felt soo bad for her, holding her & Praying that God Would touch her little body.

Aww..I just love her!

She is coming again tomorrow and i just hope she is better. If not..I have a ton of Love for Her!!

Last night, Was a Ladies Winter tea..It was all decked out.

Like every year very nice music, testimony message Just soo Nice!!

Did i say it was nice?

All this at Glad Tidings Tabernacle, the center pieces were bird feeders. Which i got to bring home..My very first bird feeder. I hope i wont have to clean poop: (

My Friend Tracey Hosted our table with coffee tea and all sorts of scones. I ate three, because i had no supper: ( I wore a pretty purple sweater with 3 crochet roses on it and a black skirt and knee highs I bought those at Walmart. LOL,

The table had 9 place settings. I have no idea how many tables their were, But their were many many tables.Tracey was in charge of bringing her china and setting her table.

I got to set beside Tracey and Gladys, an African widow.

She had abit of an accent, But i think she would be soo much fun to get too know.

She was soo happy she met me: ) eeeeeee

So i came home very tired, yet Encouraged!!

Then i went to bed.

My phone rang a few times and chatted with all my girl friends and my sister nieces and nephews,

My one nieces says "Happy Birthday Aunty"..Me "Happy Birthday"! Then pause then we

laugh: )

Fb had lots of Birthday Wishes, That was fun: )

Then my cousin sent me cash so i can eat out tonight..and when i got to the restaurant it was closed: ( So i went to the mall for Chinese : )

So this was my birthday!!

Tomorrow i go celebrate with my Sudbury family. Looking forward to that..Wonder what i should wear..jk!

As you can see the picture frames got painted brown. Some i did with rough edging look on a few frames. Then painted a jar brown and added some of those stem thingys in em.

I had this sparkly brown fabric and used that for a Matt. I like it!

I just need to arrange a few on the wall around my gold frame mirror above my couch.

The swirls photo is the design on my couch.

This has been fun.

But Painting everything brown...I work on some dark brown also.

Jenni..I wanna do a scripture verse on the long frame yet.

So their you go Rhonda..it gets you going.Or at least it did me : )

I have been looking for new ways to re-use my old picture frames. Sanding, Painting and now i just don't know what all i should use to decorate them with..need some creativity.

I've had some issues with blood...Nose bleeding..thinking its got to be cause its soo dry. I should vaporise some water or something.

Since its been so cold the last couple days..Ive been staying in the house. Today i should go to Walmart and pay 5o cents for the juice i stoled there last week. Accident of course..My friend Ruth says i Finally succeeded in it. Its a long story!

My back is sore: (

My hair is growing..yay!! Told Dedee she is cutting it next time!

Going to Ladies Winter Tea with my friend Tracey on Thursday.

Then Friday..i wanna go to a steak house..just for the fun of it : )

A Hot Chocolate Drink i made. I was out this evening and since it was soo cold. I knew hot Chocolate was Priority. Then i had all this other stuff on hand and WHAAALAAA! It WAs Fabulous!!
Couch and Chair i found on Kijiji. Thought i'd post a picture of them. I knew some of yous wanted to see the couch set.
My Plants are living and that amazes me. Except the tips always seem rough looking. Any Tips..anyone?

Last Night i was up till maybe 2:00. Why that Tea!!

Anyway, I decided i should just try to ignore stupid fb for awhile.

Also my stupid computer won't let me e-mail.

I feel rather grouchy and wanna wake up on the right side of things : (

We have MORE Snow and i am starting to sense the walls closing in on me.

Staying Indoors is nice...but this has been way too long.

Thursday is Women's Ministries and I still have no idea as too what we are doing.

Cold Sores..Is that all part of stress?

I finished sewing alittle dress for kyra with match bloomers.

I can't wait to try them on her.

Its a PLAIN Jane style. It looks Mennonite and i think it's Cute.

Kyra, Did try on the dress then. But now. Its FINISHED!!

I almost wanna paint a shelf i have in the living room too Dark brown.

Maybe make some dark pillows to match the couch.

I also painted some picture frames dark brown.

Sometime i will need to stop painting everything dark brown. LOL

My Little side Kick Kyra and bestest little friend ever!

Kyra 2 1/2 year old...Is Holding febreeze.

What would you do? Right!!

I took it from her. Well lets just say..she was deeply offended and grabbed her hat.

She was ready to head out the door and leave. LOL

Asked her..Wanna go for a Bus ride...She says...I do..aww cute: )

Knows where to find gum..she goes through a pack a day.

Doesn't that sound like cigarette's.

Her mom decided its time she gets her own packs of gum.

Between her grandparents, mom and me, she has gum. She's got good connections : )

Taking her to the mall and rushing to get to the rest room..I put her down and she makes a BIG sigh. I think i stressed the little missy out.

She loves Nail Polish and also loves her veggie tails.

Climbing up and getting under the covers for a little rest on her own. Tells me she is comfortable here in auntie Mj's home.

And Salad...We eat Salad.

I especially love hearing laugh.

Then, when walking through Big trees with yellow leaves this past fall...she was in awe.

Then pointing to the heavens at the stars.

What a Gift...she is!!

Oh..she lets me know she loves me. Sweet!!

I wanted to brag about this little one. Its alright to do that once in a while eh! She has brought life, love and laughter: )

Since It's Christmas..i think i will blog. I had good intentions of getting Christmas cards out early this year..laugh with me hahahaha! Merry Christmas!!

The way i feel at the moment is stiff and sore..last week i found a couch set on kijiji and fell in love with it..just kidding!

So friends moved it over and left it sitting in the living room, Long story short, I moved the old couch out from the living room into the hallway all by myself. This is why i am stiff and sore : ( My living room made me looked like i was a hoarder.

It Felt so uncomfortable and then needed a way out. By this I soo determined to move this old couch into the hall way..where their is a door to the outside world. YAY!!

2 days of climbing over this couch comin and goin was Enough!

My husband wouldnt move it out..So some nice samartians came and moved it for me.

My old couch was falling apart..and knew for sometime, i should start looking for another one some where.

Another story...

I've been working on painting some kitchen chairs and am seeing the 1'st coat..dry..2nd coat and so on. Being a Very Long process but, they are finally getting done. And i think i will like them.

Christmas always brings all sorts of activities. And the rush for all the last minute stuff!!

Christmas crafts, Baking, get togethers! All Lovely!

But i Love the story of Christmas....

I love the true meaning of Christmas.. The story of our Saviour, The Messiah ..who is the Prince of Peace!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David..A Saviour Which is Christ the lord. Luke 2:11

The Wisemen travelled MANY miles. Looking to the heavens at the one star that led to the Saviour.

They had their gifts, they carried with them for days and days. I wonder what these men felt knowing they were gonna see and meet the Light of the World. I bet some of this was anticipating the Greatest Gift to mankind. Gives me the Chills.

This is where my thoughts have comin..

I think too of this Journey..Sometimes it seems long and hard. But.. what are the gifts i carry till that day?

My Faith leads me to believe I will see & meet Jesus.

And this long travel on earth be worth it all!!

I'm glad God has laid this on my heart this Christmas..What A Gift!!

Today..Pregnancy Care is taking the Volunteers out for dinner at the Hour Glass.

This past Sunday a House warming for Jason ,Tahnee ,Honesty and Jaylenna.

Blessing their Home with Songs, Prayer's and Blessings.

Little Jayleena made her appearance couple weeks ago. When i first saw her i just felt ....can't even explain it.

What went through my heart was..what a gift from god, who does ALL things well!!!

In this home....Apparently their was alot of parties, young people in and out....weapons, you name it, This was the party house.

On another note..

We know God can make ugly situations into even more Beautiful!! not that he created the ugliness! We know who is behind all that..don't we?

Church ladies prepared meals for this family.

This coming Sunday a baby shower is being planned.

It's gonna be alot of fun!! What a blessing to be a part of seeing....how God has done a good work in the Lives of Jason and Tahnee. And the best thing is he's..."not done".

They were married in India..and are planning a ceremony here this summer.

Another Celebration...Looking forward to it.

Yesterday, I picked up my police check and updated my health card Information downtown.

By the time i got home i was sore and stiff in my leg.

Theirs a friend here that lost alot of weight. I've been think in of asking her, If she could do some kind of bible study together.

I find that sometimes being alone..i crave food and is that what you call comfort food?

Yeah, i seriously need some kind of accountability!!

When i lived in Red Lake i did more walking. Here i do some, But not awhole lot.

Pray for me in that area.

This little Sunday School class was so much fun!

Child like minds and their eagerness to learn was touching!!

I remember back in my days...song i first learned and loved was.....Jesus Loves me!!

Yesterday, I asked the little girls for what song should we sing?

Jesus Loves me is what they choose.

Another one i enjoyed was Jesus loves the little ones like me, me, me.

I even sang that in my own time later on through out the day!!

Little one in the brown sweater was right into this one.

It was neat to praise God with these little ones.

And to hear them sing their little hearts out!!

This week Ladies from church are making meals for a family that just had a new baby.

So i coordinated that. In a few weeks well have a another baby!

Now for Personal stuff..Lets see.

Tooth is pulled..I can eat chips. Maybe that's not so much of a good thing.

I hope to get my taxes done. yippee!!

And i need to get to the lab for more blood work.

This week,

Would like to take Kyra for another afternoon.

Pregnancy Care like every Wednesday's.

Would like to plan Women's Ministries. Please pray with me that there would be a good opportunity for a meeting with Barb.

Kari and I are gonna get together sometime. She's a young girl from church and usually have her and some other girls over from church for supper.

These are a few highlights for this week.

Sometimes i go to the mall and see who's around and usually find someone to have coffee with. Not always, but most of the time!

Poor couples who are out on dates..end up having coffee with me. lol

My heart goes out to Cousin Rena, Couple days ago Rena and her 6 month baby girl Tiana were flown from Deer Lake to Sioux Lookout Hospital. Apparently this little Tiana started with Breathing problems, She had enlarged heart.

I'm not sure what all took place in the Sioux , Except they were soon flown to Toronto.

Before Toronto Tiana quit breathing.

They put Tiana on life support till Ben her father could joined them.

I cannot Imagine Tianas parents pulling the plug.

Tiana brought so much Joy and love, that it breaks my heart thinkin Rena is going home to their other little boy empty handed.

Please Pray for Ben & Rena as they are headed on a journey of much grieving.

Uncle Gorden passed away a few years ago, Faithful follower of Christ.

Their Tiana will meet her grand daddy.

I just wanted to share this mainly so their would be prayers going on behalf of Ben and Rena. Not sure what their other son's name is.

Today, i go into the pregnancy care centre.

Looking forward to see what or who god brings in today.

Sure is soo good to see little ones.

Mother's come in....wanting to nurture their children.

We are having snow in Sudbury.

It supposed to be nice on the weekend from what i hear.

Yesterday..at the pregnancy care we were busy, busy!

It's rewarding seeing mothers leave with smiles on their "faces", or even when their "crying" "Gratitute" is basically what it is when they leave.

Yet, Sad to hear their stories at the same time.

Since our move to a bigger building...we are so much more busier.

The babies and children that come in are so sweet.

I love it there!

I am pretty much over my sinus cold!

Lasted maybe a week.

This week i was supposed to get my back tooth pulled.

Mostly Grateful...I can take part in the celebration of what Jesus went through for me.

Their is non-greater, I was so moved by hearing the song "How great the father's love for me" in church. In fact..Could you all sing that at my funeral?

Yes...I even have a few more songs I'd like sung.

Hi There

Sunshine decided to go somewhere else today.....Guess we needed our turn with some grey skies.

Yesterday I watched Kyra. 17 month old baby girl.

I thank God he had her here for a good reason, It was a good lesson that i needed for that day.

Here's what I gathered from watching her.

I took her outside so she can play, walk or run around. She gathered rocks, got her hands dirty!

There's this huge yard outside.

Anyway, She seemed to enjoy being outside, Except when she would fell, then she would get soo frustrated with herself .

Kyra would look for me, Cause she wanted me to come pick her up off the ground.

Yup....She was fine, when she was in control. Isn't life great when we think we have it all together.

But, When she was out of control...she couldn't handle it. So Yeah... Life isn't soo great we don't have it together.

Later, i brought her inside, She then fell asleep in my arms.

Decided maybe I'll go and put her to bed.

She woke up as i was putting her down...cried, and cried.

Well she wouldn't stop, So i thought i would let her cry it out.

Next thing i know she is on the floor throwing a tantrum.

Kept on crying and soon she stopped.

I peeked her way..Not realizing she was waiting for me too look her way.

When she saw me she cried more.

Went and pick her up off the from the floor, got a blanket and cuddled her.

What i was feeling through holding her was...How i love this little girl.

Another feeling was....What Joy she is.

Gave me a picture of God love...and the joy we bring him.

I was really thankful i could watch her that day.

When i took her home. She had this big grin..Like we had a great day together.

I believe it make Jesus really happy..when we are close to him.

But when i have done or have said something wrong. then i don't feel close to him.

What a tough place to be.

Makes me think of the song: God of the Mountain

Life is so easy when your up on the mountain, you got peace of mind like you've never known.

But then things change and your down in the Valley. Don't lose faith for your never ALONE

For the god on the mountain..Is still god in the Valley.

When things go wrong, He'll make them right.

And the god good times is still god of the bad times.

God of the day, is still god of the night.

Yes, we all go through hard times...But hang on dear friends of god.

I really needed to share this. Now we've all heard all this before....But what a great reminder.

China Cabinet But no China...How sad is that? Actually i really like the cabinet and so thankful for friends who gave it. I actually always wanted china set. Maybe it still will happen...well see. Slow going today...I made meatballs and was hoping to have people over, but that might not work out for tonight. Maybe tomorrow night!

I've been struggling abit with a sore stomach and not sure why..and No..not pregnant!!

In all honesty..No chance of that.

I will change the subject.

What can i say..can't Brag about my husband or kids. cause i don't have any. I could brag about myself. LOL

You'd all get pretty bored quickly!! I'm Bored!!!!

I am really annoyed with the lines under these words. Maybe I'll quit for now. I do want to upload a little video of a little girl i babysat last week and maybe I'll brag about her then. later

I was just looking at the pictures from January and my time in Winnipeg.

That was so much fun!!

Native People are soo much fun and soo thankful for being one of them.

Wow....i never thought i would say that!

It still makes me angry sometimes though when i hear racial remarks.

Or maybe even feeling like i can never do or say things as good as the non-native people.

But we are all on a Journey and this is where mine is.

We are having such beautiful weather !! The sky is blue, Spring is here!!

I might still dig out my Capri's, sandals, today!

God is Good!

Couple weeks ago was feeling very discouraged..flu that was going around was awful.

But, YAY...life gets better.

This week..i want to have a family over for supper. Seems like i hardly saw them all winter and now they are around part of the time this week.

Any good ideas as too what i should make.

Here's my idea..Barbecue chicken, Mashed potato's, Cesar salad, corn.

Sounds pretty plain eh! Oh probably apple crisp/ice-cream for dessert.

I also came across a shrimp pizza recipe last week, then i could make chicken pizza also.

I bought flour 2-10kg. on sale that is.

I could make the pizza crusts a head of time. I don't know...any good ideas!

Yesterday..i was really blessed to hear of a little girl who prays for me every night.

Thought i should post a picture of her.

Sometimes, she acts like she doesn't like me at all.

I know the real truth now!

I should get her to pray for a husband for me,

Cause it would be fun to be married!

Spring....I love it!!!

It's so good to see the snow disappear....that's whats making excitement for me these days!

My last blog i noticed i was struggling with a toothache. Well that has cleared up and getting it pulled in April.

However i did not make it to the women's retreat. I then had a flu which was awful.

We were to head out on Tuesday March 2ND, Well everybody else from here left...except for me.

Bags were packed, didn't sleep a wink that night. All i could remember was many many bathroom breaks and then their came the mess on the bedroom floor, Yup, then i was throwing up!!

Then couple days later..i had a seizure and that really scared me.

I haven't had one for couple years. Which is a good thing!

The reason i say it scares me is because i am usually alone and not knowing if and when i could hurt myself.

The next night Dedee came and spent the night with me.

My main struggle days later was feeling insecure.

I feel like I'm starting to recover physically and mentally!

I really need your prayers.

Last couple days..I've been helping at the Pregnancy Care Centre. We have finally moved into another building! PTL!!

It is really exciting to see god provide for this ministry and we are super excited!

I just thought i should update alittle.

Hope all are enjoying the warm weather!

Sometimes i feel like i waste my time blogging.

I even feel like with fb I get bored of it now.

Maybe all the changes in fb. get use to it one way, then they change it!!!

I have been feeling very discouraged with the toothache I've been having.

I lose sleep over it..then the next day....i feel grumpy and headaches here and there.

I did get into the dentist and the infection will have to be cleared up before they can do anything.

They did give some antibiotics and some pain killers for it.

The back tooth gets pulled out in April.

Such a long ways ahead.

Then next week is the ladies retreat in T-bay,

I'm not really motivated to go, It's always good to see the ladies though.

Please pray the infection will clear up before then.

Our church Fellowship had our annual core group meeting the other day.

That went very well.

What i really enjoyed most was..We all took time to pray for people who come to church Sunday morning. We walked around the sanctuary and prayed for the those who have theirs seats claimed.

So i usually sit on the third row from the back. So while people are praying and see that seat..then they pray for me.

I guess that's my highlight this week.

I am babysitting this afternoon. So i should go for now. bye for now,

Women's Ministries one evening last month learned how to make fried bannock. Mostly to learn how to make the bannock for Indian tacos and then we also made bannock dogs.

Not sure what else to call em. Anyway that's what we did.

It's always fun do get together with the ladies from church.

Yesterday for family day..I enjoyed the evening with Bev and her family. We had Turkey lasagna, mashed potato's, gravy, salad's cheese bread etc.

while some played games and some of us enjoyed just visiting.

Bev's family will say they have adopted me and am thankful God has blessed in that way.

Sure miss my family during these times. But God is Good!!!

Someone asked about my blogging this afternoon. Guess it's been awhile..eh!

This morning i was trying to catch up with e-mails.

Then i thought i should blog too.

Most of you know..The Jolly's invited me for Christmas and how that fell through.

Well they asked if i would consider coming again.

So i went and am home again!

It was a good time to be there over my birthday..They really BLESSED ME!

Howard shared with his congregation Sunday morning that it was my birthday all week.

Frieda from Sask came to see me. And sure was great to see her again!!

Tammy, Frieda, Karen and I all went to the tea house one afternoon.

Ryan and Melissa and the girls all came to see me.

Karen fixed a Moose, bannock,etc for supper.

I loved watching the Dunam girls there.

Got to visit with another friend..Brenda Martin, she's a hoot!!

During the week i was there, The Jolly's and Brenda had ministry in the city. They asked if i would share my testimony there at the mission.

I shared alittle how when i was 16 that i ran away from home. That's where living in Wpg for 2 weeks brings much sadness to my heart. But also much joy..knowing god had his hand on me.

I will always cherish dad's love for me. He wanted me home and i did go home.

I won't go into alot of detail...except no matter where we've been. God's love is unconditional..And that was my message that day at the mission, Approx 40 women were there.

I met another women while i was there and she blessed me financially..

You know that morning..i told the lord, I was very low in finances and that evening this lady blessed me and I'd never seen her before.

It just also shows me God knows our needs.

The jollys blessed me in providing a way for me to come back to Sudbury.

We have so much to be thankful for!!!

Well i wanna stop there for now. I will post pictures of my trip and you can ask any questions you'd like.

Happy New Year!

I am glad things are soon to be back to normal.

Glad to that most of you had a wonderful holidays!

I 've been doing some thinkin about how much i miss the Christmas Celebrations on the north.

I feel like there were more to do there. Funny eh!

We have theaters and malls,,But nothing like the great out-doors.

Around the city it takes like 20 minutes to get somewhere bus takes an hour.

The Sledding and then the wiener roasts!

Wonderful Memories!

Yesterday i sewed a friend an apron.

Often Bev will say..what a good Mennonite cook i am, So i decided to sew her an apron. I think it looks Mennonite.

I am gonna give it to her tonight.

Tonight i plan to hang out there for the evening.

Yeah...all i have for now..everybody stay sober 'K" LOL

I feel like i am just waiting for the holidays to be over.

Plans to go west were cancelled..last minute.

I cried and was very disappointed for days.

Funny i really hoped things would work out and yet i felt they were not to be.

I also was thankful i spent Christmas with Gord and Bev.

They are awesome people and so thankful for their hospitality over the holidays.

Last couple Years I have felt very lost.

Something about parents be around brings..lets just say, Home is where the heart is!

I miss my family!

I took my tree down couple days ago. And cleaned up the holiday mess.

I still have yummy things laying around. Good thing i put some things in the freezer.

Last night i was at a movie called Brothers. Was good to be out of the house.

A friend invited me to go to Ottawa to watch a Hockey game.

So i said yes I'd like to go along. I was to leave this morning.

Again last minute..that didn't work out!

Good Friends from home sent a gift so i can go.

I really am trying not to feel disappointed. accepting all this has been really rough.

I keep trying to remind myself that Life is not about me.

You can pray for me. I have felt some rejection this holiday season.

We were supposed to have a pot-luck this evening and thought i'd make a dessert for it. So i made this chocolate roll cake...then biblestudy got cancelled:(

I tried this ice candle thingy. I wondered how you make the whole in the centre..Instead before it got to frozen i poked through the ice and drained out the water that wasn't frozen yet. Must be an easier way? anyone know how?

Well...I was out on a walk and decided to come home. I was wanting to get more twigs from the bush and turned around as soon as i saw a man. It's sure felt refreshing to be out there.

Saturday night i had two girls over for supper and really had a nice time with them. I think i had more fun then they did. Just the fact the we were laughing and talking nonsense.

Sunday which was Yesterday, A group of 12 were here for dinner.

It was nice because they brought the lunch and i made the dessert and coffee.

Rick and Linda Martin from Sioux Lookout are here this week. Linda is coming over for abit this evening.

I think they are both coming over Thursday for supper also.

The reason for the twigs is i am making centre pieces for our church's Christmas banquet. I really hope to get those done by Thursday.

Rick will be sharing with us that evening. It's always a privilege to serve in this way.

That is our church's biggest outreach of the year. Think about us...pray!

Our first snow fall came yesterday...it was so pretty. Then looking out the window this morning, Awesome!!!! Fresh blanket of snow makes things even more pretty.
The other day i got out all my Christmas decorations, My tree is up....Christmas music is playing and decided to freshen up my wreath. Am in the Christmas Spirit.
Would love to make donuts also. I've only made them twice since my move here.
Theirs so much things to do over Christmas and yet gotta draw the line somewhere.
Some things coming up this week.
Monday-Today, Kyra might stop in for a few hours...she is one now. She is so adorable and Love her to Pieces.
Yesterday, i made a turtle cheesecake for girls night. Barb has a birthday. Yay, can't wait to taste it.
Tuesday evening is-bible study with Dedee's fellowship
Wednesday-our fellowship bible study.
Thursday-My friend Tracy wants to take me out for supper and to a Christmas concert later.
Friday- Fellowship night is planned and the drive is 2 hours away. called a Bethlehem walk. Which i haven't seen yet.
Then over the weekend Rick and Linda Martin from Sioux-Lookout are planning to be with us for about 10 days.
They will share with us Sunday morning. Also to offer some counselling for our church. Then Rick will share at our Christmas outreach banquet. Which is planned for December 11Th.

I feel like with just getting things organized was time consuming.

Am so looking forward to having more people over.

For friday night supper a couple came over

I served moose meat, mashed potatos, carrots, bannock and chocolate cake for dessert. Played Blokus and a game of 10000.

Was a good evening!

Now. waiting for the first snow fall so i can start decorating for christmas.

I would like to bake cookies and sure be nice to get some new recipes.

Any good ideas out there?

I enjoy doing crafts too. Although i don't feel very inspired anymore after making the valences and the table runner.

However i need to make centre pieces for our christmas feast and I have something in mind already.

Well i should get ready to head to New sudbury just shortly. Write more later.

The apartment came with a washer and dryer,

I made the valences for the windows,

I'd like to redo the chairs sometime.

The apartment came with the fridge and stove.

Friends gave the dishwasher. Which i haven't used yet.

A friend of mine Carol took me shopping for a microwave stand.

I'll post the picture of that later. She also got me a little table for my stereo and then also gave me curtains for my living room. Lovely lady!

Moving day was November 1st which fell on a sunday.

After church on sunday, friends that came to help me move my stuff from storage. Couple of them had trucks. Anyway.....

While at the storage place i realized i didn't have the key to open the storage. So Dedee phoned Jack and got him to go through my other purse.. i had just switched purse. I figured they were in there,

Well they were not!!!! So i asked him to go through my dresser an still "NO" Key.

Good thing Jack hadn't left yet. Hetoo was also on his way to help move.

We stood around outside for a good 30 minutes and finally i told everyone they could go home and i'd call when i have the keys.

As Jon was driving away with two other guys...i decided to check my coat pocket and There they WERE.

So i quickly called Jon back. Thank goodness for cell phones.

Jack also arrived and we were well on our way!!!

I live on the main floor of the apartment building and right across the street is the corner store.

I have a little deck!!!! Yay.

I stayed at the Dedee's yet that sunday night. And moved my bed, computer and other things that monday.

For girls night..the ladies brought supper over and helped me do some cleaning, unpacking, Alice prayed a blessing for my new home.

Got my bed made and the coffee pot ready for the next morning.

That night Dedee came and stayed with me for the first night.

So yeah the rest are picture's after i was unpacked.

For the month of October, i stayed with Jack and Dedee and Family.

I am really thankful for the way they put up with me.

They are very, very nice people.

They made a little room for me in the basement. With some wall shelves and sheets, right beside a wood stove.

The house has 5 bedrooms. along with other things such as kitchen, bathrooms, well the usual.

It was nice to have suppers made and all the dishes that need washing was a job i took on. I believe DD was grateful for that,

One evening they invited a bunch of friends to watch hockey on the wall screen. That's Jacks head you see there on the right.

By the way they live out in the country. So i wasn't as free to leave when ever i wanted too. They would often give me rides to when i had to be somewhere. things went pretty good! YAY!!!!

I really wish i had something to post.

This morning Jack and Dedee were both gone. I could not believe i slept in till after 11 this morning.

Thursday, my stomach felt like their was a knot, then my back felt some pain from that.

I must have been up four time's during that night. It was painful!

So yesterday, it still felt sensitive, add to that i was having some headaches too. Maybe i got a bug somewhere.

Today i feel abit better.

This Past Tuesday evening for Women's Ministries. 10 ladies showed up, which is not a bad number.

We had an ice breaker where you rack points up for yourself by questions like If you kissed your husband that day or how many red buttons you have on. then you subtract points if you didn't kiss your husband. It was funny. Barb asked us ladies if we had a black bra on add 8 points and then asked if you had a white bra, add 10 points.

We had Prayer time and read a few verses about how God gives us peace when we ask for what we want. And of course God knows best to what we need!

We then met about what we'd like to see happen this year. All good!

Barb Lazarus has step into be a part of women's ministries. I'm very excited to be working with her.

She had me make bannock and called them hockey pucks. Not that they were hard, Probably because of the shape and "really"they turned out pretty good.

The ladies all took some home afterwards.

That was our evening!

About the apartment, I talked to Don the landlord yesterday. Plans are still a go!!!! Keep praying the things will run smoothly.

Maybe while we are on the subject of praying about the apartment, maybe add to that request:

That Don will be a good Landlord, Doesn't sound like he's a christian.

I've heard him swear and i hope we get along well.

Anyway, yeah Please keep praying!

She's been gone for about a year and a half.

I just wanted to post this picture of Phoebe because she desires to walk the path that God has set before her.

Mainly that you would all pray for her.

She e-mails and has called couple times about life questions.

I have found she is seeking for answers as she see's the world changing.

I believe she knows the enemy is at work and is looking to God for protection.

Also, thought i'd ask God's People to pray for her.

She misses Canada, family and friends.

I encouraged her to find a church that would build her-up.

Tomorrow will be a week since i moved out of my apartment.

I'm not sure how Jack and Dedee feel about having me here, Or even their children for that matter.

I just keep telling myself it's only for a month. And they we will survive!!!!!!

They live out in the country, Which is a nice feeling to be surrounded by trees,rocks and a swamp.

The City buses run almost every 2 hours.

Jack or Dedee run into town quite regularly and so getting a ride in works out well.

The usual morning runs something like this:

I'll wait to get up once i know the boys are gone to school.

Two boys ages 12 and 14.

Jack is off to work.

Then it is coffee time..Yay! Dedee or myself make coffee.

Make a small breakfast.

shower and get dressed.

Come to my computer check e-mail.

Then do whatever needs to be done.

Saturday we were both stuck at home. Their truck broke down at the garbage dump. Their son had the other car and they could not get a hold of him.

Dedee was not able to clean church and i was gonna bake a cake at Bev's for church pot-luck. I made Italian vegetable soup for pot-luck.

I am not as free to bake here as much. Dd has gluten allergy called ceilac .

I'd hate to have her sick for 3 weeks. All because of flour flying around.

Today, they are doing shingles. Some guys from their church are coming to give them a hand.

I'm not sure where i would become useful in that area, I'd probably roll off the roof. LOL!!!!!

Maybe, I'll just do some housework and clean my room.

I hope to post pictures after i clean my room.

I don't have much to say, except I'm grateful god is look in out for me.

Sometimes, i long for my family. But, God is so powerful, Wherever we are...God Set's the lonely in families.

Anyway, i just thought I'd share abit.

Well, I have moved out of 319 Eva, and took my belonging's into storage for a month.

Right until the end of Oct.

For now i am settled in with Dedee and family and feel quite comfortable.

I was able to bring in my own bed, dresser,desk and computer. Of course clothing and the basics.

We have shelves and sheets all hung up for Privacy.

I am right in the same room where the wood stove is...and feel very comfortable.

With all the confusion and stress about the apartment i have a bit of a cold. Sore itchy throat,

My first night here i slept like a baby.

Their were nights i wasn't getting to bed early because i was soo worried about how things were gonna work-out.

Also, my new neighbors in the basement were very annoying with their late parties.

It's always a good feeling to be done moving.

However one thing i did not get done, the stove didn't get clean.

I hope to be more of a blessing to Dd and family, then a bother.

Last Sunday evening, Our church had a barbecue.

Some others played games and the rest of us just sat around the fire and visited.

Students are back, and we are once again back into the swing of the fall schedule.

Hockey is again once in Season. That means's some of our church people will travel to make it to the games. Last year i showed my support to a few games. Speaking for myself they can get expensive. Johnathon Cheechoo has been traded for Ottawa Senators and am hoping maybe to aleast get to one of his games this season. Well See!!

One of these days we will be having our annual church core group meetings.

But for now i am packing. An apt came up for rent a few weeks ago, much closer to the church. YAY!

Although their was great confusion. Don the new Landlord in the beginning told me that the apt was available for Oct 31st. And decided I'd take it, which worked out very, very well for me.

He requested a reference letter from my landlady April.

Which meant i needed to ask April to write up a letter. Her first response was...No of course Not! She was only "joking"and was extremely generous with her words.

Took the letter to Don and thought I'd better confirm the dates with him again.

He then Say's....i told you the apartment was available for Oct 1. I couldn't believe my ears, My first thought was..mj, you do have a hearing problem. I then told Don i was sure he said it was available for Oct 31.Anyway so i thought i better tell April, So we can get this apt rent quicker. To make the long story short this apt is rented and i will have to move out the end of Sept.

Now get this...Don Tell's me a few days later that i was right, and that the apt is available for Oct 31st. I was Not so impressed! Now, I guess I'll put my stuff in the storage and move in with Dedee for a month.

One day when i was on the city bus, When Don gave me the news about the confusion and said i was right about the dates.. Well I cried "River's" Good thing an hour later i realized i had shades. SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel really bad that i will have to move my stuff twice and know a few other's are not so impressed about this situation. Oh well. this was not my mistake and am so glad my ears are not that bad. YET!

Yeah, i have a new place for Oct 31, And am very Excited. But will be homeless for a month..not quite.

So far i have packed 18 boxes and hope to have most of it done by sat. Washed a few walls in the kitchen. One of my least favorite jobs is cleaning the oven.

I should get busy here. Having Company tonight for supper. It's girls night! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is just after 8:30 and it was a long night, Feels like i didn't get much sleep.

This week was good in alot of ways, Yet, it was stressful too. I am MOVING!!!!!! There I said it!

To another part of Sudbury called Minnow lake and very close to the church. less then 1 km. Knowing i can walk to the church when i need too. It takes a good 45 minutes to take the bus also the bus system is different on sundays and holidays.

This has been an answer to prayer, am so excited about the apt.

A 1 bedroom and get this theirs a place to have a Washer/Dryer. Isn't that Wonderful?

Yes MJ, That's Great! I think I'm more excited because I've been going to a Laundromat and the thought of being able to do laundry right there is...can't even think of the right word.

You ladies understand I'm sure, It has alittle balcony. Enough for 2 people, small eh!

Okay, I have to raise some support because this apt is abit more expensive.

The hydro is included with the rent. A korner store is right across the street and also a bus stop. I'm not raising support because of the Korner store or the bus stop by the way. LOL

I will be sending out an update soon. I actually worked on it yesterday and just needing some help editing it.

So yeah, I have a bunch of empty boxes sitting in my living room and the hall way that need to be packed. Thanks to Jack and Dedee who have been gathering boxes and dropping them off.

I ask you all to pray for Des a single mom, She would like to move in here. But doesn't know if she can get her last month's rent from landlord. Des's landlords have been very hard on her and finds it depressing where she is now.

I often hear my friend Bev say, when she is Praying that "God does all things well".

What a great reminder!

This is all I have for now, But I mostly want to thank God for his hand in on all this. Seems so much for fun knowing God is it! YAY!!!!!!

Labor day weekend was church camp-out and the weather was amazing, Thank-You Jesus!

The Provincial Park Fair Banks was very nice, Less then an hour drive from Sudbury.

Stuart, Gord's brother and his nephews had the tent all set-up for me once i got there.

The tent was a 10 man and i practically slept on a double size bed. Someone mentioned i wasn't camping.........except for smelling like smoke.

Wonderful Fellowship. Great Food, Volleyball and 10000 games going around, Awesome Sunday Morning Service Where we all Yelled out "BLESSINGS" Instead we were led to yell Alleluia that caused alot of laughter.

It was Sunny all weekend.

This week my sister Illa was supposed to come visit. Last night, She called and said it would not work out for her to come after all.

For some reason i felt from the beginning it wouldn't happen..Sad or what?

I was disappointed! She too was.

She had also had a trip planned for North Spirit Lake my home reserve where she and some of my siblings are together and feel rather "Jealous". But glad they can be together!

Last week, My friend Dedee and i were driving and we were talking about apartment hunting and how hard it's been to find another place close to the church.

Just as we were talking we saw a sign "For Rent". So i took the number and called and I was able to see it the next morning. YAY, it was available and less then a 1km to church. The rent is alittle more expensive. But am soo glad!

This is something that has been on my prayer agenda..Besides a Husband! LOL

Anyway, i am excited! Dedee lives not too far and now i can walk to church.

I will post pictures of the apt once i am moved in. Please pray the tenets and myself will get along well.

The moving day is Oct 31.

I will miss my landlords, They have been so Nice and Good to me.

I am babysitting this morning so i'd better go and get myself ready.

We've had a few days were it was "hot" but that's all. I guess it's like that almost everywhere!

The Shiloh Team of 30 from Ohio have come and gone. While they were here they had VBS and did some work projects.

I believe they left July 4Th.

July 9Th, A team of 8 left from Sudbury for "Cat-Lake" for a missions trip. Turned out later their were 7 of us.

Jack and Dedee Flietstra were the group leaders. Jack a pastor got a phone call while driving out of Thunder bay saying a women from their church had passed away. So he had to turn around and head back.

When we arrived in Red Lake and went to Merle and Rita's for a pit stop.

Then we were off to get our flight for Cat-Lake.

Our time there went pretty good and really loved the children. Approx 24 -30 children came for VBS. alot of them we had met from previous years.

A Memorial Feast was held for a young girl who had been murdered 15 years ago. I had the opportunity to talk with the father.

I found that day I was able to interact with some of the adults, and it sure helped to speak the language from the little bit that i know.

Those little hands knocking at the door asking us to come play. They were fun loving and so easy to love.

My bible lesson suggested i make a wordless color book and most of you know what the color's

represent . Well i began explaining what Black, red , white, green and yellow meant.

We did a review of the colors again. When the color "white" came a little girl raised her hand and said "white" was for white people. I wanted to laugh till i peed ed my pants. The little girl seemed so serious.

Just thought I'd shared that with you all!

Their were days it rained and seemed chilly, where it kept the children inside. that made it difficult sometimes.

We arrived on a Friday and left on a Friday. As we landed in Red Lake, we were just taking our seat belts off... Dedee realized she forgot the van keys in Cat-lake. All 7 of us were in shock and later we were laughing. Poor Dedee!

The pilot then said he could make a pit stop in Cat-Lake the next day and be back mid afternoon with the keys. We all stayed at the guest house and did my visiting that next day.

Well we didn't get the keys till approx 8:00. So much for leaving that day.

It was a blessing in disguise, I was able to have more time in Red lake.

But it made it really hard the next day because we drove straight through and Poor drivers were exhausted!

Before our trip to cat-lake we had couple people back out, then were some mix-ups with the scheduling. Another team from the states had said they booked the dates we were supposed to in cat-Lake.

Anyways we made it there and enjoyed our time there!

We were in much need of physically, Spiritually , Mentally Prayers.

I feel like i was coming down with a sinus cold. Over all doing pretty good! Here's a picture of our team!

Just a few snap shots of downtown Sudbury. I walked downtown Sunday to catch a bus. It was soo hot!

That evening our fellowship night was a time of sitting around a fire roasting Hot dogs, Enjoying the great outdoors!

As you can tell the bus terminal looks dead! that's a Sunday for you.

The Williams cafe is where my friend and i meet Tuesday mornings for coffee.
usually well sit and order breakfast and then take a walk in the mall across the street and do our window shopping.

I was gonna do laundry this morning. But then my neighbors got to the washing machine first..So I'll blog alittle.

I don't know where to begin....I suppose my last trip was to Rochester NY for Women of Faith.

Five of us ladies were together for the weekend and it was good to be together.

It 's always nice to come home to your own "bed" i must say!

Steven Curtis Chapman was a guest singer. He shared abit about his loss of his 5 year old daughter. Wrote a song and sang it there for us.

Their were about 10 speakers and my Favorite at this one was Sheila Walsh.

She had myself and many other crying as she shared about her journey. How God spoke four words..I will Deliver you!

It was worth not being in my own bed for those few nights.

Patsy Clairmont is still kicking and find her so cute.

Few days later i find out Elsie Lowen passed away. I was shocked first then i thought about her laughter. Heaven's were probably laughing with joy as she made her appearance. I will miss her!

Yesterday a shower for Dion and Krista. David is so Tiny and has lots of hair for a little white guy. I think he is doing well..he was born preemie. About a month early.

Tonight, Pregnancy care is having a fundraising/Auction dinner.

Usually it took a whole Saturday to help set up and get things organized. This year some of us who usually help didn't have to go in.

I really wanted to get my laundry done this morning. I might go help a friend paint her bedroom this afternoon.

I might as well tidy-up and be ready for Sunday. Get those Mennonite vacuum marks on my carpet for tomorrow. LOL!

This crazy weather has been very discouraging. My apartment hasn't been that warm and so i find myself in in bedroom alot with a heater.

This morning i went out and paid my rent and did some grocery shopping came home and made a strawberry delight for sister's night. It was great!

On our way home Sarah Ridley and i saw a mommy moose and 2 babies and just wanted to post pictures of that event.

It brought a highway 105 feeling! LOL

Anyway just had to share that with all you Red-Laker's!

May 17th at 6am, Dedee and I began our long planned road trip to Red Lake.

The weather was great!

We spent that night at the Funks in T-Bay the first night. It would have been fun to have had a game of Blokus with ken as he is Hilarious to watch.

We took the next day "Monday" and stopped in Wabauskang to visit my brother and his daughters and one son, also their children. I wished i would have gotten pictures.

We were then off to Red Lake.

Dedee and I stayed with Merle and Rita Nisly.

We were so spoiled with their good coffee while our stay.

We just had to buy some before we left.

Dedee mentioned Merles spoiled Tim Horton's coffee for her.

Tuesday morning a Dozen ladies showed up for Brunch.

Thanks Rita! That was so special and good way to make us feel welcome.

I really enjoyed all the visits, Still didn't get to everyone.

Although I'm thankful i got to see Mary-Jane Hochstetler and Emily James.

I showed DD the house i grew up in and where my dad worked for 19 years. Which was in Balmertown. Took her to the Friendship Centre, Treasure House and Living Hope Office.

One evening we were at Jeff and Wendy Yutzy's for supper.

Wednesday evening we were off to Stormer Lake. We were supposed to go fishing..But the weather wasn't that great. It was good to catch up with the Millers there. Archie and Iris were there also. Olivia is something else!

We got back to Red lake Thursday evening. Did more visiting and even ran into Hendrix. He was so happy to see me! Calls me his wife. LOL

I shared a short video of "Body life here at Sudbury First Nations Church" Presentation at Red lake Mennonite.

It meant soo much to me to have RLMC bless me and affirm me once again.

Mike Yutzy took us on a boat ride Sunday afternoon and later for the evening we had a hot-dog roast at Lamars.

We also took sometime to be with couple girls who were at the Nislys.

During our travel we bought 5 bags of york chocolates.

Sunflower seeds kept Dedee alert.

We both had sore backs so thats where the Ibuprofen and back muscle pain killers.

It was a good trip!

I'm still trying to get myself into the life here in Sudbury.

Takes time.

I had mixed feeling about coming back, But knowing this is where god has me. I am Blessed!

And was a Great Blessing to have Dedee on this trip..It was soo much fun!

Last week, I think it was Wednesday. Dedee and I were sitting out on their deck, they live out in the country. Well then poor me...I started feeling homesick!

We can see ducks swimming in their pond and just the quientness and stillness of being out there i guess is where i got lonely for the bush.

Funny couple days later i was talking to Robyn and she was saying something about being lonely also during this time of year and so we got to talking more and it was neat to hear her express her love for bush country!

So i decided to post some pictures and some of them are Glenda Masts. Hope She doesn't mind.

Just thought i'd post some pictures from Sunday evening. For fellowship night we played some group games together.

First Game...Hot Potato, Two garbage bag's full of unique items. such as...masks, dresses, slippers, wigs and a pair of shorts with a plastic bum attached to it.

I played music and while the two bags were making it's round.....I would pause the music and whoever had the bag in their hands at the time had to put an item on. It was Hilarious!

Then later we played Dutch Blitz using Huge Cards...So we could play on the floor.

Delores and some of the ladies made homemade pretzels. Nick thought they were great and they were!

Once a month we have activities going on and so I'm kinda in charge making sure this happens.

Kyra in her pretty Easter dress..Nick in the picture by the pretzels is the daddy.

It's been fun watching her grow and getting very wiggly.

Tues...I decided to make bread and the shape one made in the pan was also funny!

This week life seemed alittle slower.

Monday of course we had sister's night and Wednesday after pregnancy care i was at DD for supper again.

Now, I'm preparing for another night for women's ministries for next week. I'll post pictures then.

Yesterday, I was at a wedding and didn't even get a good Picture of the bride and groom.

Jack and Dedee's son Ryan is now married to Margaret...who was such a beautiful bride!

How ever i did get a picture of this Amazing chocolate cheesecake!

The meal was catered and what an amazing meal, Chicken, pork, perogies, roasted potato's, vegetable's were seasoned...so AWESOME, 2 kinds of salad!

Margaret had 5 bridesmaid's, Ryan had 5 grooms men and the little ring bearer, Oh the little 3 year old flower girl had a song she put together for herself. I'm a flower girl...I'm a flower girl! So Sweet!

Ryans two sisters, Chrissy and Becky, in the yellow dresses on the left. The other girl is Stephanie and know her through our trips into cat-lake.

Rod and Ginnette Withers are friends from the Pregnancy Care. So nice i had people i knew i could sit with at the wedding.

The other couple are Todd and Lori Withers. (Rod and Todd are brothers )

I would have felt very much alone if they weren't there.

I'm alittle crazy...I sewed myself a skirt Friday morning...Alot of skirts i saw in the stores were black and white and didn't care too much for some of the styles.

My friend Bev did buy me some nice beaded necklace and bracelet. Which went well with my orange skirt.

It was a nice wedding, God was Honored!

Easter Weekend my friend Les King from Toronto came for a visit. He has a great sense of humor, It was good to laugh again!

Friday: brunch with Bev and her family, Sunday: dinner at the Swartzentruber's and then for Monday: brunch at The Flietstras (Jack and Dedee.) So yeah...I wasn't alone for the weekend!

Just this past Thursday i spent the night at Jack and Dedee's. They bought a new trailer which is very, VERY NICE! It has a two bedroom, kitchen with a TV in the little living room area, and a shower and toilet.

Dedee says now her and i are going camping this summer...Sounds good to me!

The reason i wrote about spending the night there was because DD and I were gonna go to a funeral the next day..till around 6am DD awoke with the flu.

Her son and daughter were also sick with the flu. Hearing Josh their son throw-up made my day feel uneasy! I thought for sure i would be sick!

We were gonna go to a funeral together.

Anyway, I went to the funeral without her.

Stephanie Lang a girl on our Cat-Lake team, Her Step dad Mike had a massive heart attack over Easter.

Mike was a Biker and belonged to a gang and lived a rough life. Till the last couple years ago he began to make some changes. He attended Lansing Baptist Chapel were Jack and Dedee Pastor.

At the funeral approx 30 bikers came for the funeral...In their tattoo's, rough looking, Harley Davidson jackets. It was a wide opportunity to share the "Hope in Christ" that Mike had.

I wanted to get a picture of all the motorcycles out side the church parking lot. That would have been so neat!

The theme of Mikes Celebration was Born to be wild! How God can tame Mikes wild heart!

The song "Born to be wild" was also sung in memory of Mike. The Bikers were whistling and clapping their hands during this song.

It was a good experience to be a part of this Service!

Sat Jack too started with the flu.

Monday, yesterday...Marvin & Yvonne and Sarah stopped for the night. It was good to see them again.

Sister's night was here at my place..I made ribs and turned out pretty good. Marvin and Yvonne were able to meet some of my friends here. I took them on a tour at our church after supper.

Now their gone...BOOHOO!

Today, I'm gonna go shopping for a wedding gift, Saturday Ryan and Margaret are getting married. Jack and Dedee's son.

Life has been fairly busy..We had some wonderful warm days.

One prayer request i do have is i am looking for another apartment. I would like to be close to the church. It would just be nice to walk over sunday mornings. I'm looking for a 1 bedroom and a back yard of some kind. it would be nice too even have a 2 bedroom with the right price.

I love the apartment I'm in. My landlords are great! I wish i could pick up this building and move it closer to the church.

This week has been very full! I feel like with not being home awhole lot that i miss just being home. Anyway...I share this week with you because i don't have any Exciting news to share.I might bore you with all the details!

This past Sunday, This 15lb cheese made it's way to my place all the way from Indiana..Colby Cheese wonder how long it will last me. YUMMY! Dion's mom and sister from Indiana came for couple days and brought cheese for some of us. I believe the cost was $1.50 a lb.

After church was pot-luck. Then right after was Cat-Lake team meeting. I hung out with Dedee then i decided to go along with them for their evening church service.

Monday.....cleaned someones house which gave me money to pay for the cheese. for the evening was supper at Bev's place for sister's night.

Tuesday.. went shopping for Women's Ministries.Bought more items for our crafts and snacks also. making my way to the church on the city bus I had a bad fall...scraped my knee and ripped my pants. Wanna hear all my emotions that went through me? First, Felt like a dummy! their were 3 people all around me..this is where i was deeply embarrassed. Second, i was in pain! My Ouchie, So i cried alittle! Then.....I missed the transfer bus, That made me mad!

Felt like cancelling the whole evening and having a pity party at home. However i asked God to help me and give some stability! And as faithful as he always is... Nine of us ladies were together for a craft...if you scroll down you will see the plate. Lina shared a devotional.

Wednesday, Was a pretty good day, Praise the Lord!

Volunteered at the Pregnancy care for and later went to the mall to get my passport picture done. Not a good picture!

Thursday, Today...At Days Inn I'm gonna get my passport done. Passport people are here for couple days . Who know how long the line-up will be.

Bible study this evening.

Friday,morning i am invited for Brunch with Bev and her family. So I'm gonna make a casserole. Jenni's recipe with the hash brown base. I'm looking forward to the biscuits and gravy. Yummy!

So far no big plans for the weekend!

My Friend Hilda called me early this week for coffee and said she had something to show me.

She had the item in a bag and asked me close my eyes, and as she was ready. She had this doll setting on the table and said this is what my wedding dress would look like.

I was like "WOW" this is Beautiful! The beads you see on the fringes are silver. She made little moccasin's too.

She said the doll was for me to keep. She even thought she would make my dress if i were to get married. Anyway, I just thought I'd post the doll. I really Like it! What do you all think?

I spent several days with Dedee this week. I was so anxious, thinking alot of the Meekis family. They invited me over for supper three times this week. She is a very good Baptist cook! LOL.

Dedee and I are getting soo excited about going to Red-Lake in May. She would like to see Kenora and Pikangikum. I would like to go to North Spirit Lake my home reserve. Well see how things will work. She can't believe Her husband is letting her go for 10 days. I can't believe it myself!

Their eldest son is getting married at the end of this month. They have 9 weddings this summer! Jack is a Pastor here at the Baptist Church.

First Tuesday's of the month we have women's ministries and so I've been preparing for that.

On the weekend we had our first fundraiser for Cat-Lake. We had bowling with a wonderful turn-out. Their are a few more fundraisers coming up. Our missions trip for Cat-lake is July 9th.

I took this sometime last year and thought maybe I'd post it!

I really do enjoy this little city of Sudbury! Although nothing like that lakes, trees and the wildlife. The pretty scenery and the awesome northern lights.

I live close to down town. Theirs this big building called the Rainbow Centre. I had no idea it was a mall until six months after i had lived here. It didn't take too long to catch the bus routes. I did get lost a few times! I've visited the Science North couple times. Really Neat place to tour! The main mall isn't that huge. But it's a place to go and hang out when theirs nothing to do.

Several weeks ago their were lay-offs at the xstra mine, It caused quite a stir to many sudburians.

Just this past weekend i joined Lansing baptist for a retreat at a bible retreat centre.

it was very relaxing and people were very nice. I took my Blokus game along and was abit popular. Approx 110 people were there for the weekend.

I've joined curves once again and am really enjoying it. Dedee bought me a gift certificate for the month of March, and i had bought another one at an auction last year which i will use for April.

This evening i had two young people over for supper. I made chicken, roasted potato's and veggies, Salad, garlic bread. And fresh apple pie and ice cream.

We then played Blokus after.

Lets see...I have nothing to gossip about.

I'm tired and am thinking i should work on my sewing project next. Or I'll just go on Face Book! Just kidding Twila ! I Love YOU!

I really enjoyed my time at the Prayer Retreat. I will say...it's along way to go for a day and a half. BUT, It was worth it! Playing Blokus with Ken Funk was alot of fun too.

Kendra came to visit after the Prayer Retreat.

While she was here My friend Dedee took us to see the Sudbury Nickle.

I hadn't even been there to see it up close myself since my move here over 4 years ago.

While Kendra was here their were 3 potlucks. And rode the bus as she had many many questions. She shared her testomony at the womens ministries night. So Willingly...LOL

I hope she enjoyed her time here and so glad she came for a visit!

I 've been feeling so tired. Not alot of energy...And sure doesn't feel to normal. I'm hoping it's just the feeling under the weather. If you all think about please pray for me. I will add i've been feeling very lonely.

Yesterday, I joined Curves. My firstwork-out is tuesday. Am looking forward to that.

The little boy in his Sunday Best is Khade. He's so sweet! I took that of him last week in church. While Kendra was here she made a wonderful dessert for sister night. PALOVA. The base was egg whites and sugar, vanilla and vinegar. Middle layer was whipped Topping and then fruit. Recipe says it's New Zealands national dessert.

I will post a few more random pictures of our one pot-luck we had here at my house. This was my week!
